Fate Journal (June-December 2013)

Journal: Ryman's A5 Soft Cover Sketchbook
Medium(s): Acrylic paint, ink, colored pencils, alcohol markers, ephemera
Status: Complete
Notes: This journal documents my move to a small town in mid-Wales for a temporary job. It was my first time living alone. It explores the themes of fate, long-distance relationships, independence, loneliness, and jealousy. The red string of fate runs through the book, an idea borrowed from artist Julie Fordham. It also contains my attempt at The Sketchbook Project that I didn't end up mailing back.
